A man with a light beard looking through a camera, wearing sunglasses and a black jacket, with a textured white background overhead.

I’m Tom Beardshaw, a British photographer based in Barcelona. I work in street photography, performance, and portraiture, all of which appeal to the same interest: how light, structure and human presence interact in a moment.

My approach is simple: I pay attention, move quietly, and wait for something to shift… a gesture, an expression, a line in the frame that wasn’t there a second before. I’m drawn to images that feel calm but alive, and small shifts people make when they think no one is watching.

Before photography became a significant part of my life, I spent many years in coaching, advocacy, digital strategy and the arts. Those pieces of my career sit alongside the work I do now; they’re part of who I am, and they inform how I notice things. Photography is a lifelong love, and the work I’m focussed on developing today.

Fine-art prints are available as limited editions on museum-grade papers, and my work has been recognised by curators at 1x.com.
